Claude Cowork
Hands-off work
Chat answers questions. Cowork does jobs. It runs in the Claude Desktop app, works directly with files on your computer, and finishes multi-step tasks while you watch or walk away. Requires a paid plan (Pro or higher) and the desktop app from claude.ai/download. The full picture: what this costs.
Claude Code, for people who do not code
You can build software now
Claude Code is a tool where you describe what you want built and Claude writes, runs, and fixes the code itself. There are two doors into it. The easy door is the Code tab in the desktop app: visual, one click to approve each change, no terminal. The classic door is the terminal: the same engine, portable everywhere. You will build a real page through the easy door first, then meet the terminal properly. Both count.
